They are the same brand! Sparx was originally called Sparx Bistro when it opened in 2014. In 2024, the brand underwent a major refresh and was rebranded as Sparx Café, with a new space, new look, and an expanded menu that includes café drinks, desserts, and a private function room. The heart and soul — great Filipino food — remains the same.
Sparx started in 2014 as a humble BBQ take-out stall on Shaw Boulevard. The owners had a passion for grilled Filipino street food — isaw, pork BBQ, and skewers. Through word-of-mouth and genuine community love, the stall grew into a full restaurant in Project 8, Quezon City, and eventually became the Sparx Café you can visit today.
Yes! Sparx Café has extended hours on weekends. On Saturdays and Sundays, we are open until 12:30 AM — perfect for a late-night meal or a barkada gathering after a night out. On weekdays (Monday to Friday), we close at 11:30 PM.
Absolutely! Sparx Café serves a full menu of Filipino comfort food — from lechon kawali and kare-kare to pork sisig, crispy pata, and grilled BBQ — alongside café drinks like iced coffee and milk tea, desserts including blueberry cheesecake and layered cakes, and snacks like nachos. It's the best of both worlds: a Filipino restaurant and a café in one space.
